{"id":206,"date":"2009-08-11T13:09:41","date_gmt":"2009-08-11T13:09:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cricketnirvana.com\/?p=206"},"modified":"2023-02-08T10:42:50","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T10:42:50","slug":"shukla-fate-of-icl-players-on-14th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cricketnirvana.com\/news\/international\/2009\/august\/news-20090811-200.html","title":{"rendered":"Shukla: Fate of ICL players on 14th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mumbai:<\/strong> Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice-president Rajiv Shukla has said that the fate of the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) players depends on BCCI\u2019s Working Committee meeting here on the 14th of this month.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the BCCI had granted amnesty to 79 ICL cricketers, along with 11 former cricketers and 11 officials who were released from their ICL contracts. It was declared that these cricketers and officials would undergo a cooling period of one year, during which they will be eligible to participate in the Indian domestic tournaments only.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fate of ICL\u2019s players will be decided during the Working Committee meeting,\u201d Shukla told Cricketnirvana on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Shukla also confirmed that there wouldn\u2019t be any bidding for the ICL players at the IPL auction; instead they would be sold to franchises at fixed prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere wont be any bidding at the IPL auction for ICL players. There will be fixed price for all players,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>It was later revealed that the ICL players will be sold at a 20 lakhs maximum or 8 lakhs minimum to respective franchises.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if IPL would be World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) complaint, Shukla said \u201cwe have not any discussion on this issue yet.
